I have a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche with 81,000 miles. While driving in Mississippi the front end started making a strange noise. It would come and go. After several more miles the noise became a steady roar. About 20 miles form Memphis it became very obvious that there was a real problem. I called the Chuck Hutton number and the answering service answered. This was good, because CH was closed. They did all the paper work and gave me a service person to contact Monday and told me about the paper work and key drop at the service door. When I got there I noticed that all the gates were locked and there was no security guard anywhere to let you in to leave a vehicle. I called the answering service back and asked them where to park and they didn't have any idea. I filled out the paper work, parked outside the gate on Mt Moriah and left the key in the drop slot. Monday I called and they did get my paperwork and key and the truck was in line to be repaired. After it was ready, I picked it up and was told that it would be a good idea to get the front end aligned. I had bought my last tires at Goodyear and had the lifetime balance and alignment deal so I went there. After they did the alinement they told me that the struts were leaking and needed to be replaced before they wore the tires out. I haven't had that done yet as I am going back to CH to get a second opinion. All in all everything was fine with me. I was at first thinking that the blown out wheel hub was under warranty since the milage was not yet 100,000 miles. It hurt to find out that the 5 years had already expired and I was out the $800 + now I find out that the struts will need to be replaced at another $1300 +. I still would refer Chuck Hutton to anyone as I think they are a great dealership and they do take care of their customers.
